my love for nintendo > your love for socially innappropriate goods misapropriation [Dec. 7th, 2006|01:44 am]
[music |Kyuss - Blues For The Red Sun]

4 random cunts tried to nick my DS on the bus on monday

apart from a few bruises (and less a few locks of my rather gourgeous bouffant) i have escaped unscathed

for the next few weeks i think i shall chronicle my attempts to get the CCTV footage of the attach which (through the joys of the data protection act belongs to me). The police have told me that I won't get it, bollocks to that, its mine, its got me in it and I will get it. Upon getting the footage posters will go up and I'll put it up on youtube. Hopefully someone will recognise the people and we'll take it from there.

In other news support bands > main act

pigeon detectives were ok but the "OMGWTF gang of four" support band were superior

this post has been brought to you by the 700mb WoW patch

got stopped and searched tonight for skinning up on richmond green

totally not amused, the incredibly friendly police officers insisted on removing my herbal supplements from me

seriously, do they have nothing better to do

Reading! Woo [Aug. 28th, 2006|08:01 pm]
[music |Isis - Oceanic]

Got back from reading a few hours ago, had an absolutely kick ass time and discovered that drinking in the morning is always a good plan.

Best bands were Anti Flag, Flogging Molly (both times) and Reel Big Fish. Pearl Jam and Gogol Bordello also totally blew me away.

Have the best selection of mosh pit bruises, both my upper arms are covered in tiny and not so tiny bruises, the beer jacked helped massively with aqquiring them

FOR THE HORDE!!!

DBF [Feb. 5th, 2006|10:14 pm]
[mood | tired]
[music |Four Tet - Rounds]

have just returned from dorchester beer festival of ultimate joy and ensuing invasion of portland

beer fest was great although it was a pain going straight from work so i was a bit late and some beers were out and more importantly it cut into valuable drinking time. overly enthusiast folk music was danced to over enthusiastically and many many glasses were "acquired". somehow i also managed to get free beer and free pork products so a success on all fronts.

b&b was great, proper breakfast with caffeine made us all feel slightly less worse for wear

drove to portland where we men did proper manly things like throwing big rocks into quarries and climbing things that were entirely unnecessary to climb, ramblers were laughed at and we watched mountain bikers wuss out

days off are not meant for relaxing [Dec. 20th, 2005|08:17 pm]
[music |Iced Earth - God of Thunder]

whoever made the M4 should consider removing fog, roadworks and closing the junction where i need to get on.

mostly the fog, seriously, whats the point in a road straight enough for me to do 90 on for the whole journey if i have to spend half the journey cowering behind a lorry on the reckoning that if anyone has stopped he'll just go through them. and radio 1 played nothing but the kaiser chiefs the whole freaking way

and on the beautiful twisty road from the motorway to bath there was an evil lorry who decided that 30 was the right speed to drive under the lovely starry skies. curse his black soul

did late opening today at work which was comedy, we stayed open for an hour longer than normal during which time NO-ONE came in our shop. score.

rawk is making it all better though

this is officially the greatest thing ever: http://www.bigcampaign.org/badgers.html

seriously:
30 badgers armed with waterpistols stormed the Starbucks on Oxford St claiming it as their ancestral home.

WTF?

holy crap, narnia wasn't shite

the trailer was like lotr with animals, luckily it had absolutely nothing to do with the film

not entirely accurate to the books but close enough and good enough for me not to care

apart from some dubious bluescreen all was good

and lucy was much less annoying than in the good old bbc version

beavers were funny but because they were actually funny rather than laughably poor

snow queen had dreads O_o

[music |Reel Big Fish - Everything Sucks]

went to house party last night and didn't speak to any scary new people (any more than was necessary anyway). i think being made to talk to people all day at work has put me off casual conversation and small talk in my spare time.

on a plus note i picked up so i
a) ate all the party food
b) didn't get drunk
c) woke up without a hangover

i also need to go shopping or something, to acompany the chilli i had when i got home all i had was cheese. either that or i suggest cheese get moved over into the bread group by the offical food people.

clean, iron, clean

all i do on my day off is make my room/house look less like a squat and more like a place inhabited by human beings

personally i blame this on simon as he is incapable of washing things up, i'm sure the designs on his plates are there to disguise the things he misses when he cleans

in other news i have to get up at the godforsaken hour of 5am to get to work for 6 for an audit

i am getting out of bed unnecissarily early to COUNT PHONES. and phone related paraphanalia. and ipods.

my swtich card may also go on a permanant holiday to the bin, it turns out i spend a lot less money when i have to get it out over the counter

i almost forgot about this doodah here but i'm in a productive mood today (all the laundry and washing up in the world ever completed) so i may as well post.

filed my horribly illegal anime today and discovered a) how much i have and b) how much of it i can't be bothered to watch

also did that weird exercise thing where theres running followed by boxing or something. i now hurt so i'm guessing it worked. it also made simon gay or something as he put on his navy hat and tie whilst in a very sweaty t-shirt and shorts.

this is also the greatest thing ever: http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1534821.html?menu=news.quirkies.badtaste

i'm no longer alone in my wonderful abode

simon has moved in and whilst there is now 283.2% more warhammer in the house than previously on the whole its positive

it also gives you exscuses to drink beer, protocols have been established (somehow we have a no lager broken arrow chain of command thing going on)

oh and my house was rearranged, its all neat and homely and stuff and my giant blue sun is on my sofa

so little time so much alcohol

saw everyone in the whole world last night which was weird and cool

sat next to attractive japanese girl on the coach which was handy

girl sitting behind me listening to the clash at a volume where i could tell what song it was but not hear any of the words was annoying

there is also a giant woodcraft logo in wedges in my front room that i'm deeply afraid of, its probably plotting my downfall as i type

its odd how you never notice things smell until you don't smell

currently i am living on a camp bed using my glastonbury sleeping bag which is a heady mixture of sweat, woodsmoke and socks. can't wait until i move into ze new house and get a proper bed with the all conquering thomas the tank duvet cover

glasto was badass and highly random, i was exhausted for the first couple of days after the manicness of moving house, losing tickets and driving round what seemed like most of the southwest

pictures will follow once the pooter is hooked up to the interweb so i can use my sexy new card reader again (posting from work atm)

also, don't eat gregs for breakfast

PC hardware sucks serious wang

i've learnt more about how new PC stuff works in the last 2 days since i started fiddling with PC's years ago. SATA is no longer a mystery to me, why windows doesn't understand it without serious poking is. memory timings are becoming clearer, i acutally know what some numbers mean. bios is no longer a feared mystical realm, its where you prod things in the hope of making them work. when a review of something refers to it as "for enthusiasts" you really should take note.

and finally

never skimp on a power supply

i currently have a huge pretty black £900 paperweight sitting in my room

Poo [Jun. 6th, 2005|02:23 pm]
What is it about porridge? It makes my poo a funny yellow colour and tastes the same after its been through my body!!! I also love sleeping with cats. Their warm fur tickles in inside of my thigh as i snuggle up close. But i find their bum holes a little bit tight and their mouth is full of sharp teeth so i don't stick it there either. Sometimes my mum likes to come and sleep in my bed too. She touches me and it makes me feel special. She lets me put my john-john in a warm, wet place. It feels sooooo nice. On the weekend my dad comes in and lets me watch whilst my mum and dad play games. They bounce around alot and my daddy calls it 'hide the sausage' although we dont use the walls ones from the fridge they are for eating not playing with. At least thats what my daddy says. My sister has gone to live with my uncle, because she got pregnant and now daddy is angry with her and my uncle. I don't know why he is angry. Sometimes he hits me when he is angry. he gets his truncheon out of his pocket and hits my bottom very hard. I think it will be a pretty baby too, although the boys at school say that it will be a spacka and that I'm a spacka too but I don't think thats nice.

[music |Arcade Fire - Funeral]

as the man with the plan has demonstrated the cocktail party was fun, there was a distinct lack of eurovision though, it seemed to be replaced by actual proper conversations. this was scary, but good.

i am also a bad influence on people, its wicked

work got their revenge on me for being horrendously hungover on sunday by making me work every day this week, this is potentially a good thing as i'll be too tired to go out and spend money and i'm getting a shit ton of overtime

i have also joined the gym (or i've been joined up, haven't actually been in the building yet), apparently there is some survey i have to fill out about my physical activity and diet and then i get an induction. hopefully my quest to convice people that gravy is in face 3 of your five daily portions of fruit and veg will continue to be succesful (note, it has to be bisto).
